Enclosed Spaces is a print and homewares studio based in London, UK, run by myself, Emma Williams.
It all began when, after many years working in digital design and development, I started to notice my growing desire to hark back to my fine art roots and create something more tangible; something that would add to people's lives... and homes.
Above all I try to make my designs fresh, modern, and communicate in more ways than one. The clean lines that have become integral to the Enclosed Spaces style work just as well with modern technologies, such as laser cutting and 3D printing, as they do with traditional techniques such as screen printing. And it's this that has become key to my work - exploring these differing crafting techniques.
My passion is to always teach myself, whether it's digital design, 3D modelling, mold making or screen printing. I'm always eager to explore new techniques, play with new ideas, and find new ways to offer my customers something beautiful, bold, and different from mass produced high street wares. Art that I hope will give people pleasure for years to come.
